The Large Pendant Necklace - Afterglow

Revisiting me early days of jewellery making, Afterglow is a somewhat grown up version of the fashion jewellery I was making way back in 1985.

Back then, I was melting plastic beads to create new shapes and jazzing them up with model paint. Today is a very different story. Afterglow uses charcoal to texture, shape and condition the silver. In addition, 2 sessions in a kiln create the crystalline surface, often seen as an oxidation, but it's not!

Random accents are picked out from the original texture and these are hand polished using magnification. Finally 24ct gold is fused using keum boo, gold filled findings are added and the piece is finished with an Argentium chain.

The Large Pendant Necklace is available in a variety of chain lengths from 18" to 24". Please state on your order notes which length you would prefer.
