Remembering when Matchmakers were a popular chocolate treat at Christmas. Those long sticks of chocolate hiding splinters of praline.
Handmade from red copper, Matchmakers are hand textured and shaped whilst soft and brittle and then twice fired for strength. Matching a long stick with a 'bitten off' partner to give some contrast and articulation.
A lot of hand polishing goes on before the earrings are sealed to help keep the colour up and the tarnish away. Finished with sealed copper ear hooks.
